Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend hole diameters no smaller than the material thickness. For 0.125" steel, minimum hole diameter is 0.125". Smaller holes are possible but may have quality limitations.
Yes, we can cut customer-supplied material. It must be flat, clean, and within our size limits. A handling fee may apply. We're not responsible for material defects.
Our fiber laser produces minimal HAZ, typically 0.005-0.020" depending on material and thickness. This is much less than plasma or oxy-fuel cutting.
Yes! Our fiber laser handles copper, brass, and bronze up to 0.25" thick. These materials require special parameters but produce excellent results.
Fiber lasers are more efficient and cut reflective metals better. CO2 lasers excel at cutting thick materials and non-metals. We use fiber for most metal cutting.
We can convert sketches or PDFs to CAD files for an additional fee. We also review designs for manufacturability and suggest optimizations.
